Ms. Chanin represents clients in a wide range of commercial litigation and intellectual property matters, including class actions, contract disputes, false advertising and unfair business practices cases, trademark infringement, and trade secret misappropriation claims.  Her experience covers a wide range of industries from technology companies to consumer product businesses.     

In addition to her experience in private practice, Ms. Chanin was selected to work at the San Francisco District Attorney’s office for three months where she first chaired multiple jury trials.  Ms. Chanin also served as a law clerk for the Hon. Kenneth M. Karas, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the Hon. Michael Chertoff, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  Ms. Chanin was named a Northern California Rising Star in 2009-2014. 

Before joining this firm, Ms. Chanin practiced litigation for nearly ten years at Arnold & Porter LLP and Bingham McCutchen LLP.   Ms. Chanin also worked as a staff attorney at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where she gained valuable insight into the judicial process while working on a wide range of civil matters, including tax disputes.

When not practicing law, Rachel enjoys exploring the Bay Area with her husband and two young children.
